Legend of Owain Glyndŵr

The Legend of Glyndŵr tells the story of Owain Glyndŵr, the last native Welshman to hold the title Prince of Wales. In the early 15th century, he led a major rebellion against English rule, becoming a symbol of Welsh freedom, courage, and national identity. His mysterious disappearance after years of resistance gave rise to many legends. Some stories claim he died in secret, while others say he still waits to return when Wales needs him most. Today, Glyndŵr remains a heroic figure in Welsh history, folklore, and culture, representing hope, independence, and the enduring spirit of Wales.
