Great Westen Railway
The Great Western Railway is one of the most famous railway companies in British history. Founded in 1833, it connected London with Bristol, South Wales, the West Country, and many other destinations. The railway was closely associated with the renowned engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, who designed bridges, tunnels, stations, and the original broad-gauge track. Known as “God’s Wonderful Railway,” it played an important role in Britain’s industrial and economic development. Its steam locomotives, elegant stations, and distinctive engineering became symbols of the railway age.
