English Life in XVII

English life in the 17th century was a time of great change, marked by political conflict, religious tension, and social transformation. Society was divided between the wealthy aristocracy, growing middle class, and rural poor. Daily life revolved around farming, trade, and emerging industries. The English Civil War and the rise of Puritanism deeply influenced culture and values. Education expanded, literacy improved, and London became a center of commerce and ideas. Despite hardships such as disease and poverty, this period also saw flourishing arts, science, and exploration, laying the foundation for modern British society and the Enlightenment to come.
