During the Jurassic Period

During the Jurassic Period, approximately 201 to 145 million years ago, dinosaurs became the dominant land animals while vast forests covered much of the Earth. The climate was generally warm and humid, creating ideal conditions for giant reptiles, early mammals, and diverse plant life. Iconic dinosaurs such as Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Allosaurus thrived during this era, while the first birds evolved from small feathered dinosaurs. Marine reptiles ruled the oceans, and flying pterosaurs soared through the skies. The Jurassic Period played a crucial role in shaping prehistoric ecosystems, leaving behind remarkable fossils that continue to reveal the history of life on Earth.
