The thesis “Investment Attractiveness of European Oil and Gas Firms: A Triple Bottom Line Perspective” by Dr Ekaterina Yaremchuk (University of Reading, 2025) explores how economic, environmental, and social factors jointly influence investment potential in the oil and gas sector. Using the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) model, it develops an Investment Attractiveness Model (IAM) to evaluate European O&G firms. The research combines quantitative financial analyses with qualitative stakeholder interviews and sustainability data. Findings show that firms integrating strong environmental and social practices with solid financial performance achieve greater stability and investment appeal, highlighting TBL’s value as a sustainability-focused evaluation framework.
