Archaeological Treasure Hunters, part I

Archaeological Treasure Hunters, Part I explores the exciting and complex world of archaeology through the search for hidden traces of the past. This film focuses on how archaeologists investigate ancient sites, artefacts, and landscapes to uncover lost stories of human history. Rather than hunting for gold, modern “treasure hunters” seek knowledge, using careful excavation, scientific methods, and teamwork. Part I introduces key techniques such as surveying, digging, and analysing finds, while highlighting ethical issues and the importance of preservation. Through real discoveries and expert insight, the documentary shows how archaeology transforms fragments of the past into meaningful evidence, revealing how ancient people lived, worked, and believed.
