Stourhead Gardens

Silbury Hill, located near Avebury in Wiltshire, is the largest prehistoric man-made mound in Europe and a remarkable testament to the ingenuity of ancient Britain. Built around 2400 BC during the Neolithic period, this massive chalk and earth structure stands approximately 40 meters high and covers an area the size of a football pitch. Its purpose remains a mystery, with theories suggesting it served as a ceremonial site, a religious symbol, or even a marker of power. Part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site that includes Avebury and Stonehenge, Silbury Hill is a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and those fascinated by ancient mysteries.
