Samuel Coleridge House
Samuel Coleridge House, located in the quaint village of Nether Stowey in Somerset, is the former home of the renowned Romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. It was here, between 1797 and 1799, that Coleridge wrote some of his most famous works, including The Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Kubla Khan, while collaborating with William Wordsworth on Lyrical Ballads. Today, the house is a museum that offers visitors a glimpse into Coleridge’s life, featuring period furnishings, personal artifacts, and exhibits about his poetry and influence.
