Gamelands Stone Circle
Gamelands Stone Circle is a prehistoric monument located near the village of Shap in Cumbria, England. Dating back to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age, it once formed part of a larger complex of stone circles and standing stones in the region. Today, only a few stones remain, but they still suggest the original circular layout. The site is believed to have been used for ceremonial or ritual purposes by ancient communities. Surrounded by open countryside, Gamelands Stone Circle offers a peaceful atmosphere and provides insight into the spiritual and social life of prehistoric Britain.
