Abbotsbury Abbey

Abbotsbury Abbey was a historic Benedictine monastery founded in the 11th century in the village of Abbotsbury, Dorset, England. Once an important religious and cultural center, the abbey played a significant role in the local community for several centuries. It was largely destroyed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries under King Henry VIII. Today, only atmospheric ruins remain, including parts of the great barn and foundations of the church.
